Denali (6,190 m), also known as Mount McKinley, is the highest mountain in North America, in the Alaska Range within its namesake national park. It rises more than 5 km from its base to the summit — one of the largest base-to-peak rises of any mountain on land.

The model covers about 15×15 km: the Denali massif with both summits, the Kahiltna and Muldrow glaciers stretching for tens of kilometres, and the sharp neighbouring peaks. The glacier valleys appear on the model as broad, gentle “rivers”.
