Mount Olympus is the highest mountain in Greece; its main summit, Mytikas, reaches about 2,917 m. In Greek mythology it was the home of the gods led by Zeus, and today the massif is a national park climbed from the town of Litochoro.

The model covers about 8×8 km: several summits of the massif — Mytikas, Stefani, Skolio — deep gorges and the Plateau of the Muses. The large area conveys how the massif rises almost straight from the sea.
