A relief map of the Carpathians for someone who loves the mountains

Someone who visits the Carpathians every year is hard to surprise with another magnet reading “Carpathians”. A 3D relief map is a different story: it is the real terrain of the mountain range, peaks and valleys drawn from elevation data, not hand-drawn. Hoverla, Dragobrat or Synevyr are recognisable on such a model by the silhouette of the ridge alone. It suits a hiker, a climber, or simply someone for whom the mountains are not a postcard but a specific place with its own story.

What relief mode is

In a regular 3D city map, only the buildings have height and the ground is flat. In relief mode, the model follows the real shape of the terrain — climbs, ridges, river valleys. For mountain areas this is the whole point of the gift.

You can pick an area around a specific peak or ridge — the Hoverla massif, the plateau near Dragobrat, or the area around Lake Synevyr — and get exactly that slice of terrain as a physical model.

Honestly about the level of detail

The source elevation data has a resolution of about 30 metres. This means the overall shape of the mountain, ridges and valleys comes through accurately, while very fine details — individual rocks, narrow trails, small ledges — get smoothed out at this scale.

For a gift model 8–15 cm in size this is not a drawback: the map scale would not show fine detail anyway, and the shape of the massif reads clearly.

Which size and format to choose

A desktop 3D model (from 350 ₴, sizes S/M/L/XL — 350/490/630/770 ₴) is the main format for relief: the larger the size, the wider the mountain area it can fit.

A relief keychain (from 170 ₴) works as a compact souvenir of one specific peak, and a magnet (210 ₴) is a simpler fridge option.

The material is the same across formats — eco-PLA — so both the desktop model and the keychain hold up to daily use without losing shape.

How to make it in 5 minutes

Open the Carpathians page, choose a product, find the peak or area you want on the map (Hoverla, Dragobrat, Synevyr, or any other mountain spot), switch on relief mode, and check the free 3D preview in 1–2 minutes.

Then either order a print delivered within Ukraine, or download the 3MF file and print it yourself.

Who this gift suits

For someone who climbs Hoverla every year, a model of their own route becomes a memory of that specific climb rather than a generic “mountains” souvenir.

For a Dragobrat regular or a ski-season fan, the slope's relief on a desk is a reminder of winter trips. And for those who prefer quieter places, the area around Lake Synevyr with its surrounding ridges works well.

This gift fits a birthday just as well as “no occasion at all” — what matters is that the recipient has a personal connection to the chosen peak or ridge.
